Fund established for Tennessee hospital workers impacted by wildfires

In response to the late November wildfires that have devastated eastern Tennessee, a fund has been established to provide support for LeConte Medical Center employees and families who have been impacted.

The wildfires killed three people and destroyed hundreds of buildings in the resort towns of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The fires destroyed the homes of several LeConte Medical Center employees in Sevierville.

The Tennessee Hospital Association requests prayers and consideration of financial support to assist the hospital employees who are impacted. SDAHO and our staff will make contributions to the fund and invite the South Dakota health care community to join in the effort.

Contributions can be made to:

LMC Employee Assistance Fund
c/o Dr. Robert F. Thomas Foundation
LeConte Medical Center
744 Middle Creak Road, Suite 206
Sevierville, TN 37862

Letters of support and encouragement are also welcome and can be sent to Jenny Hanson, President and CAO, at the above address.
