Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) satisfaction indicator survey is live

The 2017 Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) satisfaction indicator survey is live.

Federal law requires that provider satisfaction be a performance standard for the work of MACs. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) administers the MAC Satisfaction Indicator (MSI) to measure provider satisfaction with the MACs from which they receive services.

MSI is a measuring tool that uses the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) methodology — the uniform measure of customer satisfaction in the U.S. economy — for calculating results. The MSI enables CMS and the MACs to comply with federal requirements, gain important insights about provider satisfaction, review data to objectively measure processes and service delivery and use the results to allocate resources more effectively.

Providers should visit their respective MAC website to view announcements and participate in the survey.
