The American Hospital Association (AHA) has released the winter issue of Trustee Insights, a multimedia resource for CEOs and trustees. The information provided covers a myriad of topics, including regulatory burdens, strategic workforce planning and development, board self-assessments and on-demand webinars. Also check out AHA’s online Trustee Mag, with even more information, training and tools for trustees and CEOs.
The South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations (SDAHO) also offers trustee and CEO resources through the Trustees Resource Center found at trustees.sdaho.org. Education, advocacy and certification are key areas of information.
As a component of trustee education, SDAHO has scheduled Karma Bass, an expert on governance, strategic planning and board effectiveness, to present a boot camp at the board meeting scheduled for the opening day of the annual SDAHO convention. Ms. Bass will extract information from boot camp attendees and incorporate those topics into various general session tracks open to all attendees.
