Chronic disease self-management training slated for February

Lay leader training will be held in Aberdeen for the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program and the Diabetes Self-Management Program offered by Better Choices Better Health.

The Chronic Disease Self-Management Program is a four-day training scheduled for Feb. 12, 13, 19 and 20 at the SDSU Extension Regional Center in Aberdeen. Participants must attend all four days to become certified as a lay leader and must attend this program as a prerequisite before attending the Diabetes Self-Management Program. The Diabetes Self-Management Program is set for Feb. 21. Click here for more information on both programs.

Previous teaching or health care experience is not needed to become a lay leader. Becoming a lay leader is a great way to help others have access to chronic disease self-management tools and information.
