Overview: The CMS RoP went into effect last November. Phase 2 will go into effect this coming November. Although the penalties have been delayed for a year, the actual requirements have NOT! Everyone has told you the “what,” but not many educators have told you the “how.” In this training, Cat Selman will be covering the details as to how facilities can prepare to meet the challenges of these new requirements. Surveyor focus and facility practice for residents’ rights, quality of life, dementia care, behavioral services, care planning/documentation and staffing issues, as well as facility assessment, will be addressed in depth. Give your interdisciplinary team the skills and knowledge to face the challenges that these new requirements present. Register your entire team NOW!
Target Audience: Long term care facility administrators, directors of nursing, social service professionals, quality / infection control professionals.
Objectives: Upon completion of the seminar, attendees should be able to:
- Recognize the key changes in the new Requirements of Participation for skilled nursing facilities
- Describe the interpretive guidance and survey process changes that will directly impact your operations
- Summarize 3 key leadership implementation strategies for operational success
