Overview
Policymakers and health care experts are promoting new and emerging models of health care delivery to achieve the “Triple Aim” of delivering quality care without paying more. Making the needed improvements presents new challenges and new visions for eligible clinicians and their organizations. Telligen experts help unlock the door to the new Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) Quality Payment Program (QPP). This session will provide an overview of MACRA legislation and review the basic structure of QPP and the key elements of the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and alternative payment options for Medicare Part B clinicians and health care organizations as released in the final rule.

Speaker Biography
Sandy Swallow CMA, CPHIT, CPEHR, PCMH-CCE has more than 25 years of experience providing clinical care and management in the physician office including workflow redesign and quality improvement efforts. Since 2006, Swallow has been assisting physician practices with assessment, planning and implementation of electronic health records and producing usable data for clinic-level population management including improving clinicians’ rates for adherence to evidence-based preventive care services. She is a certified professional in health information technology, electronic health records and certified in meaningful use. She has received her content expert certification for patient-centered medical homes and has worked with primary care providers in Iowa to receive their patient-centered medical home recognition. Her major accomplishments include assisting more than 1,200 eligible professionals with the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health act to provide the education and tools to improve their health care delivery and obtain the financial and clinical quality rewards of meeting meaningful use. Her current focus includes assisting eligible clinicians with MIPS education.

Registration

Registration fees are $150 for institutional and associate members, $300 for non-members. Recordings will only be sent to those who have registered for the program.

Cancellation
A full refund will be given to all cancellations received 10 or more business days prior to the program. A $25 administration fee will be charged to all cancellations received six to nine business days prior to the program. No refunds will be given to cancellations received five or fewer business days prior to the program.
