The American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline and the South Dakota Department of Health are planning a South Dakota Cardiac Systems of Care Conference for Nov. 3.

The conference is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn City Centre in Sioux Falls.

Dr. John Gallager, EMS system medical director for Wichita/Sedgwick County, will offer a keynote talk on Time Critical Decision Making for Stroke and STEMI Patients.

Other sessions include:

  • Get With the Guidelines Stroke – Abstraction Tool and Hosptal/Community Impact
  • Stroke Stop – Best practice from Lincoln Nebraska Fire & EMS and hospitals
  • Data Update – Mission: Lifeline & LUCUS
  • State updates
