CMS Updates Testing Guidelines for Long-Term Care Facilities

CMS released an updated memo on September 10 regarding Long Term Care testing requirements for staff and residents. Fully vaccinated staff are now exempt from routine testing and routine testing of residents is not generally recommended. Unvaccinated staff will participate in routine testing based on the community transmission level which can be found on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 Integrated County View site.
