South Dakota hospitals support price and quality transparency and strive to communicate information that is useful to patients, families and other health care purchasers. SDAHO established the SD Price Point program to assist hospitals in meeting their transparency goals under the state statue SDCL 34-12E-11, 11.1, 12 and 13.
SDAHO recognizes that quality integration is a supportive service and adds value to its members. Much of the Quality Integration work occurs within SDAHO Health, Research, Education, and Trust (HRET), which is a 501©(3)non-profit corporation. SDAHO HRET’s mission is to facilitate quality and clinical education programs to assist members in meeting regulations, maintaining quality delivery of patient or resident care and improving health care outcomes.
SDAHO is a member of the American Hospital Association (AHA), the national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. Nearly 5,000 hospitals, health care systems, networks, other providers of care and 43,000 individual members come together to form the AHA.
