SDAHO has completed its analysis of the FFY 2017 Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) Program, which is intended to provide members with a preview of the potential impact of the FFY 2017 program based on the most recent publicly available data and program rules established by CMS. Included in the report is a “Performance Scorecard” report that compares actual FFY 2015 and FFY 2016 program performance to estimated FFY 2017 program performance.
These FFY 2017 figures are estimates, based on CMS’ 2nd Quarter 2016 update of Hospital Compare. They were used in the FFY 2017 IPPS Final Rule analysis. These estimates will become obsolete when CMS releases actual program factors, presumably by the end of the year.
The Pay for Performance (P4P) Measure Trends Analysis, which is also available, is designed to provide members with a comparative review over time of the quality data.
