Thirty South Dakota rural hospitals are being recognized as top performers by the National Organization of State Office of Rural Health (NOSORH) and iVantage Health Analytics.
Thursday’s announcement was made in conjunction with the observance of National Rural Health Day.
NORSORH and iVantage determined the rankings using the Hospital Strength INDEX, a comprehensive assessment of rural hospital performance considering quality, outcomes, patient satisfaction, and financial strength. The ranking looked at all acute care hospitals in the nation. Here are the South Dakota hospitals recognized:
