On Nov. 8, South Dakotans approved Initiated Measure 22 (IM-22) by a narrow margin (51.62 percent-48.38 percent). The impacts and implications of the new law, which took effect on Nov 16, has created much speculation, angst and has resulted in the filing of a lawsuit.

With the passage of IM 22, we have changed locations for the purpose of having no rental or food/beverage expense. Here are the changes:

  • Sioux Falls Legislative Forum

Also, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Health Screenings event for legislators that has been held each year at the Capitol in January. At this point, we plan to hold the All District meeting scheduled for Feb. 21 in Pierre.

We will continue to closely monitor this developing situation and will share additional updates as they become available. We appreciate your understanding of these changes and please let us know if you have any questions.

We will be hosting a webinar late in December to cover the material from the Legislative Forums.
