SDAHO held its first of a series of legislative forums this week, energized by great questions from legislators, discussions and educational information. Avera St. Mary’s President and Chief Medical Officer Mike Holland kicked off Thursday’s session at the hospital by welcoming the group and sharing his insights on health care in South Dakota. The forum drew strong interest from Pierre area legislators and had good discussions.
We especially thank Dr. Holland and Sanford Chamberlain President/CEO Erica Peterson for educating the group on efforts to address the opioid substance abuse problem.
