SDAHO held legislative forums recently in Sioux Falls and Aberdeen. The discussions were engaging with participation from legislators, community and health care leaders.

Avera Heart Hospital Regional President and CEO Jon Soderholm welcomed participants to the Sioux Falls session, which featured discussions on a wide range of topics including the prescription drug monitoring program, nursing home beds, APRNs and lay midwifery.

In Aberdeen, Ashley Erickson, CEO of Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center, shared a welcome and helped guide discussions that focused on the potential for further Medicaid reform in South Dakota and legislative summer studies.
