The Board of Trustees held their annual strategic planning session last week in Deadwood. In preparation for the session, a variety of research information and data was collected to identify “key” issues and future trends, including completing the biennial membership engagement survey.
Participants explored a variety of issues inclusive of three key areas: post-acute care services, quality integration, and business development. Several strategic priorities were identified as opportunities, including some that will require additional research and study to arrive at a specific recommendation. The session was facilitated by Mathew Anderson, Altrede Consulting, who has extensive experience working with health care associations on strategic planning.
An “overarching” theme emerged that is part of our mission to “advance healthy communities” through a continued focus on increasing member value! The Board of Trustees will review the updated strategic plan objectives, tactical steps and priorities at their September meeting.
