The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) earlier this week announced a shortage of EpiPens,, citing a manufacturing delay. EpiPens are the emergency treatment for people with severe allergic reactions. The FDA expects the shortage to be short-term.
Mylan, the company that makes EpiPens, stressed that the product remains available although there are “intermittent supply constraints.” Pfizer manufactures EpiPens for Mylan.
