The American Hospital Association (AHA) has designated Friday, June 8, as Hospitals Against Violence day of awareness. The goal is to focus attention on the work that is being done to end all forms of violence involving health care organizations and throughout communities.
Hospitals, health systems and caregivers across the nation are asked to join together to raise awareness by posting to social media using the hashtag #HAVhope. Everyone is encouraged to participate and can utilize a digital toolkit that is available on AHA’s website, along with other resources and information.
