Dirkland T. Smith has been selected as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and administrator of the Faulkton Area Medical Center. Smith will start Aug. 20.
Smith has nearly 18 years of senior leadership experience in civilian and military healthcare organizations. Most recently he has been the assistant vice president for Healthcare Professional’s Talent Acquisitions in the United States Navy. Smith possesses a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration with an emphasis in health care administration and a Bachelor’s in political science with pre-law concentration, both from Jackson State University. He is also a long-time member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
