The American Hospital Association (AHA) issued an Action Alert asking members to contact their U.S. senators asking them to support including language in the Senate opioid bills package that will align 42 CFR Part 2 with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Currently, the bill package does not include a provision to modernize 42 CFR Part 2, which is important.
