The residents of Selby in north central South Dakota have formed a nonprofit organization in an attempt to buy the Good Samaritan Center nursing home. Good Samaritan has operated the home for more than 50 years but no longer wants to run the facility.

The nursing home employs 50 people and is home to 45 residents.
