HHS awards $293 million to expand primary health care workforce

The Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) on Oct. 18 announced $293 million in awards to primary health care clinicians and students through the National Health Service Corps and Nurse Corps programs. The programs provide scholarships and loan repayment opportunities to health care providers in exchange for working in areas of the U.S. with limited access to care.
