Top 10 Patient-Safety Concerns for 2019

ECRI Institute, a nonprofit organization that studies how to improve patient care by addressing safety concerns across the continuum of care, just released its annual list of the 10 biggest patient-safety concerns in 2019. This list is based on an analysis of over 2.8 million patient safety events that have been collected in the Institute’s database since 2009, as well as opinions from a panel of internal and external patient safety experts. At the top of the list was diagnostic errors which topped the​ list for the second year in a row.
