Workshop: Trauma Informed Care – (SDAHO Members only)

As of November 28, there will be trauma focused F-tags that surveyors will assess as part of Phase 3 implementation. It is crucial for facility staff to be able to recognize the signs and symptoms of trauma, emotional and behavioral effects of trauma, and to have an action plan of how to address their residents’ associated emotional and behavioral needs.
Attend this full day workshop on trauma informed care to be educated on topics that include conducting the facility assessment, complying with trauma informed regulations, engaging in activities and meaningful social interactions, and ensuring staff competencies specific to quality and education necessary for phase 3 compliance.
