The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will host a Special Open Door Forum call December 10 from 1-2pm CST on the final rule requiring hospitals to disclose payer-specific negotiated rates, and its proposed rule imposing new requirements on private insurers in the individual and group markets to publicly disclose negotiated rates and out-of-network allowed amounts. This week the American Hospital Association, joined by three other national organizations representing hospitals and health systems, sued the federal government in federal district court, challenging the final hospital rule.
