The general fund receipt report released by the South Dakota Bureau of Finance and Management (SD BFM) shows ongoing general fund receipts were $8.8M higher for Nov. versus the adopted estimate. Year to date, through 5 months total ongoing receipts were $5.1M higher than the original adopted FY2020.
The report compares the most recent year-to-date receipts in all major categories for the state general fund to receipts from the prior year and on a year-to-date basis.
The dashboard reports also compare the most recent legislative adopted forecast, as well as the original adopted forecast to gauge how well actual collections are performing compared to budgeted levels.
In addition, SD BFM released document showing what 1% inflation ($15M General Fund) would be in the South Dakota Budget for the State Aid to K-12 Formula; Tech Institute Formula; State Employee Salary Policy; and Medical Provider Inflation.
