Yesterday the leading medical and health organizations in South Dakota on the South Dakota public to stay home to help reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and limit its long-term health effect on our country. The open letter from the South Dakota State Medical Association, South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations, and South Dakota Nurses Association calls for all-hands-on-deck by the public to practice social distancing and staying home in hopes of slowing the spread of the COVID-19 virus and lessen the effects on the hospitals and health care systems.
