SDAHO Cares for You!

​Throughout the month of February, SDAHO has scheduled a self-care series for healthcare providers throughout the state. This series is directed to anyone working in a healthcare facility or those caring for others (nurses, physicians, housekeeping, dietary, C.N.A’s, social workers, home health aides, administration, hospice, caregivers, etc.).

Self-Care Sessions:

Care of Self, Care of Others, February 4, 2021.  1pm CST

The Rev. Dr. Ann Sidney Charlescraft has experienced compassion fatigue first hand and Dr. Charlescraft is convinced that personal, familial, collegial and institutional supports are needed for the well-being of those who for others on a daily basis. Attend ‘Care of Self, Care of Others’ and identify the source of your fatigue – compassion, burn-out, moral, emotional, physician and/or spiritual. After attending this session, participants will be able to identify self-care strategies that address their type of fatigue.

Bringing Life, Work & Passion Back into Balance, February 11, 18, & 25

COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on the lives of many, but especially those working on the healthcare front lines. Join Kirk E. Mittleman, MEd, NRP and Margaret A. Mittelman, MEd., NRP as they discuss topics on balancing life and stress, life after COVID-19, and how to get the passion back in your career. Through PASSION and ENERGY, Margaret and Capt. Kirk will help you realize your potential and why you got into this profession in the beginning. These sessions will be entertaining, interactive and will improve your life and your patient care.
