DSS Releases State Plan Amendment for Care Coordination Shared Savings Payments

​The South Dakota Department of Social Services has released a Medicaid State Plan  regarding supplemental payment amounts for the inpatient and nursing facility providers that have a signed care coordination agreement with Indian Health Services and have ensured access and proper coordination of care of health services. Total payments made under the Medicaid State Plan will be $1,525,444. Payment amounts by provider are available in the State Plan.

DSS intends to make the State Plan Amendment effective on May 5, 2021. The public comment is available until June 3, 2021.
