At SDAHO’s Rural Health Leaders Conference, attendees will gain practical guidance in healthcare issues uniquely focused on rural health. This conference will bring industry experts to speak on South Dakota specific rural health priorities – workforce, behavioral health and facility infrastructure. Participants will learn new models of care, innovative strategies, grant opportunities and receive updates on current and future rural health regulations.
John Supplitt, Senior Director, American Hospital Association (AHA), Rural Hospitals, will kick-off the conference by sharing the priorities of the AHA Board Task Force on the Future of Rural Health. He will inform participants on the status of COVID-19 provider relief funds and grants and will provide an update on the effect of federal court decision for 340B and site neutral payments. He will also review regulatory policy changes on waivers affecting rural health care delivery and identify opportunities presented to rural hospitals in recent legislation.
