In 2009, the Helmsley Charitable Trust created its Rural Healthcare Program to improve access to and quality of care in the upper Midwest. This program focuses on the most medically underserved area in the U.S., the upper Midwest, due to its pronounced gaps in healthcare access and a relative lack of private funding. Join Scott Johnson, Program Officer for the Helmsley Charitable Trust, as he shares best practices on how rural facilities can partner with the Trust. He will also explore several innovations under way in South Dakota, and the Midwest, and their intended impact to improve healthcare delivery.
