Funding Opportunity for Navigators in States with a Federally Facilitated Marketplace

On June 4, 2021, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for the Navigator program for 2022. This will provide $80 million in grant funding, the largest ever available, for Navigators in the 30 states with a Federally Facilitated Marketplace, including South Dakota. Navigators provide free assistance to consumers looking for health coverage options, so this funding “reflects the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to ensuring Americans can find the right health care coverage, access financial assistance, complete their applications, and enroll in coverage through the Marketplaces, Medicaid, or the Children’s Health Insurance Program,” according to CMS Administrator Chiquita Brooks-LaSure.

More information on the NOFO can be found by searching for CFDA #93.332 at https://www.grants.gov.
