DSS Changes to Medicaid State Plan and Updated Medicaid Fee Schedule

The Department of Social Services (DSS) intends to make changes to the South Dakota Medicaid State Plan in response to inflationary rate increases as appropriated in the 2021 legislative session. These changes will be implemented starting July 1, 2021. The fee schedules have been updated and can be found on the DSS website. The changes represent the maximum allowable reimbursement amount. A complete overview of the plan can be found on page 141 of the Register. More information on the state plan amendment can be found here.
