On January 25, Jeri Lundgren kicked off the first session in a series of four virtual trainings on the topic of wound care – prevention and treatment. The first session covered how to use the QAPI process to implement a wound program. Jeri discussed ways to develop an interdisciplinary team approach to have effective team meetings. She also shared ways to effectively utilize the wound care nurse to manage and oversee the program. Lastly, she provided several areas of risk for litigation or regulatory citations.
