Nursing Summer Camps for Middle & High School Students

The West River Health Science Center will be offering four summer camps for students to learn about nursing and healthcare careers this summer. Attendees will learn about the nursing field and practice skills in suturing, CPR, and taking vital signs. Students will also explore other healthcare topics such as emergency medicine and bedside care, and hear from panels of healthcare professionals. Please note not all topics are taught at all camps. Applications close May 2, 2022!

  • June 27-29: Middle School Camps | Rapid City
  • June 27-July 1: High School Camps | Rapid City
  • July 18-20: Middle School Camps | Spearfish
  • July 18-22: High School Camps | Spearfish
Cost is free and limited to 25 spots per camp.
Day camps only with no overnight accommodations. Drop-off and pick-up must be arranged by student. Training provided by SDSU College of Nursing faculty, medical professionals from the Black Hills area, and the West River Area Health Education Center.
