SDAHO congratulates Angela Brockmueller, RN, on passing the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) exam. Angela is the Quality and Infection Control nurse at Freeman Regional Health Services. Angela says she feels that passing the CPHQ exam gives her some level of confidence that she has a good understanding for the overall quality processes and tools to best implement for improvement projects throughout her facility. Angela also added, “with fewer specific requirements outlined in regulations it is a big undertaking to plot development of a quality plan, and completing the training for this certification helps to outline how I can best facilitate performance improvement and quality assurance”. This certification was made possible through the SD FLEX grant from the SD Department of Health. We are proud of Angela for accomplishing this goal.
