Why Healthcare Professionals Choose Mobridge Regional Hospital and Clinics to Build Their Career

Mobridge Regional Hospital and Clinics is a member facility featured in the South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations, Hometown Healthcare hero campaign for the month of December. To help member facilities with workforce needs, SDAHO launched this storytelling campaign designed to recognize career opportunities and celebrate the people that work there and the communities they live.

Travis Henderson, M.D., has been part of the Mobridge community since he was a young boy. He left to attend college and earn his degree but returned to build his career at Mobridge Regional Hospital and Clinics (MRHC). “Being in a small community and working for an independently owned hospital is a tremendous advantage. Working in medicine relies a lot on trust, you must establish a trust with your patients. What is different about working in a small town, you don’t just see your patients in the hospital. You see them around town, out to eat, you see them every day, they are your neighbor.” Travis Henderson, M.D., Internal Medicine, Mobridge Regional Hospital and Clinics.

MRHC offers Mobridge and the surrounding area an award winning 25 bed critical access hospital, four rural health clinics, a rural ambulance service, an assisted living and senior living facility on site. In addition, there is a robust specialty clinic that brings in specialty providers for more healthcare services. “We really feel an obligation to do the very best we can here, to provide top notch healthcare.” Travis Henderson, M.D., Internal Medicine, Mobridge Regional Hospital and Clinics.

Mobridge is located on the Missouri River, providing residents year long recreational opportunities including boating, fishing, camping, hunting and more. The business community offers residents everything they need from shopping, healthcare, schooling and entertainment. “We are a full-service community, we have everything you need. We have a hospital, an eye doctor, we have all your healthcare needs here. We have one of the few out-door movie theatres in the country. It’s a great little place to live.”
