Medicaid Unwinding to Begin April 1, 2023

Due to the COVID-19 federal public health emergency, federal regulations prohibited Medicaid from closing for persons who were found ineligible. Effective April 1, 2023, federal regulations again allow for closure of ineligible cases. The Department of Social Services (DSS) has provided a helpful document about the unwinding the continuous coverage requirement.

DSS will also be providing an educational webinar for providers on March 10.

  • March 10th, 2023 from 1:00-2:00pm CT/12:00-1:00pm MT
