Beyond Idea Grant Program Accepting Applications Aug. 1

The South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF), in partnership with the Bush Foundation, will begin accepting applications for the Beyond Idea Grant (BIG) program on August 1st. The application window will close at noon Central Time on August 31st. Due to the competitive nature of the program, SDCF will not accept late applications.

BIG program funds will be used to support innovative projects as well as ongoing, well-established projects that are in the process of developing, testing, and spreading ideas that make the region better for everyone. These funds are also intended to inspire, equip, and connect leaders to lead change more effectively in our state.

Eligible applicant requests may range from $5,000 to $100,000 per year. Successful applicants from the August opening will be announced in November 2023.

Learn more about eligibility, grantmaking guidelines, and the application by visiting the SDCF website for specifics.

The first round of 2023 BIG Recipients were announced on June 30th. Learn more about all BIG recipients on the Beyond Idea Grants page.
