The South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations is excited to be featured in the South Dakota Office of Rural Health’s quarterly Healthcare Workforce Newsletter. The Office of Rural Health is part of the South Dakota Department of Health and 4 times a year, they provide a newsletter highlighting workforce efforts across the state from a variety of partners.
In the Summer 2023 edition, SDAHO’s Rural Network Developmental Grant was featured. This is a grant through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), which is part of the US Department of Health and Human Services. The project will create a network of healthcare organizations and community partners called South Dakota Rural Workforce Network (SDRWN) consisting of critical access hospitals, nursing homes, a technology school, post-secondary university, and a nonprofit social services organization across rural
South Dakota.
The latest edition of the SD DOH Workforce Newsletter addresses the healthcare workforce needs in South Dakota through a partnership between the Departments of Education, Labor & Regulations Health, and the Board of Regents. Also included in the summer 2023 edition:
