South Dakota Rural Health Equity Summit

The West River Area Health Education Center and the South Dakota Area Health Education Center invite you to the 5th annual South Dakota Rural Health Equity Summit. This in-person gathering will take place on Thursday, September 5, 2024, in beautiful Rapid City, SD. The summit will bring together healthcare professionals, policymakers, advocates, community leaders, and other stakeholders committed to improving health equity in rural South Dakota. This event will feature keynote speakers, informational sessions, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and share innovative solutions to the unique health challenges faced by our rural communities.

Sessions Topics will include: Cultural Competency, the Suicide Crisis in Agricultural Communities, Pediatric Health, Training Future Workforce, EMS, Cancer Rates in Rural SD, Value Based Reimbursement, Understanding Vicarious Trauma, and more.
