Critical Access Hospitals have until Saturday, November 30, 2024 to apply for a hardship exception from the downward payment adjustment under the Medicare Promoting Interoperability Program for calendar year 2023.
Hospitals can submit their hardship exception applications through one of the following methods:

- Verbal application: Call the Center for Clinical Standards and Quality Service Center at 866-288-8912 for assistance with your application.
