Coalition extends deadline to apply for grants supporting community health workers

The Common Health Coalition announced it has extended the deadline to Feb. 3 to apply for the Common Health Challenge Catalyst Award program grant. Each of 10 recipients will be awarded a $30,000 grant for efforts integrating community health workers to strengthen partnerships between health care and public health organizations across communities.

The Catalyst Awards will fund organizations that demonstrate a strong capacity to integrate Community Health Workers (CHWs) in ways that strengthen partnerships between health care and public health in communities. Awardees will contribute to a nationwide movement aimed at bridging the health care and public health sectors.

Awardees will propose locally based initiatives that can demonstrate significant progress in one year and support the establishment of sustainable relationships between health care and public health service providers. Ten organizations will be selected to receive a Catalyst Award of $30,000.

The Coalition welcomes nominations for a Catalyst Award through February 3.
