What to Expect:
Participants will journey through every section of the MDS, guided by the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) Manual. Each day will focus on specific assessment sections, common coding pitfalls, and the systems that support accurate documentation.
Day 1 – May 7
Explore Section A and gain a solid foundation in MDS scheduling and changes of condition. Dive into resident interviews and complete Sections B through F, beginning Section GG.
Day 2 – May 8
Continue with Sections GG through N, understanding their impact on care delivery and facility reporting.
Day 3 – May 9
Conclude with Sections O through Q, followed by a deep dive into Chapter 4, which covers the Care Area Assessment (CAA) process and its critical connection to individualized care planning.
