SDAHO to welcome opening Keynote Speaker Dr. Stephen Trzeciak

The South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations (SDAHO) is excited to announce that Dr. Stephen Trzeciak will be the opening keynote speaker for its 2025 Annual Convention, which is themed “Medical Marvels 99: Years and Beyond.” The convention will take place September 24-26, 2025, at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.

Dr. Trzeciak, a physician, professor, and researcher, will present COMPASSIONOMICS: The Revolutionary Scientific Evidence That Caring Makes a Difference.” His talk will explore the scientific evidence that compassion is not only an ethical imperative but also has measurable benefits for patients, healthcare quality, and even healthcare workers themselves. The presentation will highlight how compassion can protect against burnout and promote resilience in medical professionals.

What to Expect in the Session

Dr. Trzeciak’s session will offer new insights into the science behind compassion. He will present evidence from a two-year review of scientific literature, demonstrating that caring has tangible, beneficial effects. Attendees will learn how compassion improves patient outcomes across various conditions, leads to better patient self-care, and is linked to higher quality, lower-cost healthcare.

The presentation will also focus on the powerful benefits of compassion for the caregiver.
