Grant opportunity available for rural residency programs

The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) released the fiscal year 2019 Rural Residency Planning and Development Program (RRPD) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). This grant opportunity seeks to develop new rural residency programs or rural training tracks in family medicine, internal medicine and psychiatry to support expansion of the physician workforce in rural areas.

HRSA anticipates making approximately 28 awards with each recipient receiving up to $750,000 for a three-year project period. Applications must be submitted by March 4, 2019.
