South Dakota Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Update

The South Dakota Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (SD PDMP) has partnered with Appriss Health to integrate SD PDMP data into South Dakota electronic health record (EHR) platforms and SD pharmacy management systems via Appriss Health’s PMP Gateway platform. Integration empowers healthcare practitioners at the point of care with information that enhances clinical decision-making. Grant funding will pay PMP Gateway fees for the two-year grant period; however, not all EHR and pharmacy management system vendors are currently integrated and the integration process and duration time are dependent upon your vendor. Any fees charged by your vendor will not be covered by the SD PDMP.Statewide PDMP integration of the South Dakota PDMP platform is a key component of South Dakota’s ongoing efforts to address the opioid crisis.
