The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is on Saturday, October 24th. The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. Last year which was the 18th National Take Back Day, South Dakota collected 1,152lbs. Since the start of this initiative in 2010, South Dakota has collected over 25,000lbs.
