The Payment Methodologies for Medicaid Providers Interim Study reconvened for its fourth and final meeting on Oct. 25.
The committee began with discussions on the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Overtime Rule Implications and the Department of Social Services (DSS) Preliminary Survey Results. (Details here.)
In addition, the committee discussed four areas for recommendations:
- Current Reimbursement
- Conclusion on Reimbursement for Current Expenses
- Options for Additional Dollars for Providers
- Options for Regulatory Changes to Reduce Costs for Providers
The Payment Methodologies for Medicaid Providers Interim Study did not present a Review of Requested Legislation. The interim committee will present a summary report to the Executive Board at its next meeting on Nov. 18 to discuss recommendations for the Joint Appropriations Committee.
