August is National Immunization Awareness Month

National Immunization Awareness Month is an annual observance held in August to highlight the importance of vaccination for people of all ages. Together, we can help raise awareness about the importance of vaccination and encourage people to talk to a healthcare provider they trust about staying up to date on their vaccinations.

National Immunization Awareness Month aims to raise awareness about the importance of vaccination across the lifespan to help protect communities from serious diseases.

All staff in healthcare practices, including non-clinical staff, play important roles during NIAM. Through the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), healthcare professionals can gain access to a variety of tools and resources.
