The public meeting of the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners (SD BMOE) will be held Thursday, September 14, 2017, beginning at 9:00 am (Central Time), in the Board Room, 101 N. Main Ave, Suite 215, Sioux Falls, SD.

As part of the agenda, the SD BMOE will be adopting proposed rules regarding:
- continuing education requirements for physical therapists and physical therapy assistants,
- disciplinary actions in another state of physicians and surgeons, and
- renewal of physician and surgeon licenses relative to the interstate medical licensure compact
The board will also be providing declaratory rulings on the scope of practice relative to physician delegation of licensed nutritionists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and respiratory care practitioners in nursing facility settings. These rulings come as a result of the new nursing home regulations that went into effect November 28, 2016.
